Megan Kaminski
North

Pursed lips snap shut fastened against iron conspirators
From the north port we watch people ferried to the next
Inch of dawn extinguished in a silver streak
With solemn precision no place to no place
Little light mummers stir blades and hushed directions
We saw Culture and although she was the brightest by far
The visible struck circling aster blankets with snow
We are unsure how she made it
Shades drawn tight half full with murmurs
